Rice crispy treats are a fun simple treat to enjoy at any time. I wanted to make the treat for my sons birthday, but with a little twist. Originally I was going to make meteorites, but I didn't get a chance to roll them into balls.
Peanut Butter Rice Cripsy Treats
Prep Time: 35 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Ingredients:
3 cups rice crispy cereal
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Place the cereal in a large bowl and put to the side.
2. In a small saucepan melt peanut butter, maple syrup and vanilla until smooth.
3. Pour mixture over cereal and mix together until everything is fully coated.
5. Grease a 13 x 9 baking dish and pour peanut butter rice crispy treats into dish and firmly press down until flat.
6. Put the dish in the freezer for 30 minutes.
7. Cut and serve!
